According to the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Jude Gbaboyor’s new accusations against Dr. Dennis Otuaro are unfounded and malicious.
In a Facebook video he claimed he made in the US, Gbaboyor accused Dr. Otuaro of murder, ritualism, and kidnapping.
On Monday, the PAP’s Special Assistant on Media to the Administrator, Mr. Igoniko Oduma, stated that Gbaboyor’s video calling for the Administrator’s removal is yet another desperate attempt to defame Otuaro and undermine the Programme’s credibility.
According to the statement, Gbaboyor, a fugitive, committed cyberstalking and other offenses and fled the nation to avoid arrest.
The statement noted that Gbaboyor was fired from the PAP for his behavior years ago and should be ignored by readers.
Gbaboyor has made outlandish and baseless charges against the PAP boss before, the document continues. Because of his constant slander, the PAP Administrator petitioned security agencies for cyberstalking and criminal intimidation.
“Gbaboyor fled the country when the Nigeria Police Force summoned him to answer these baseless allegations, making him a fugitive.
‘’ It’s interesting that Gbaboyor’s unrelenting attacks on Dr. Otuaro began only after the Administrator denied his desire to rejoin the Amnesty Office, where he was fired several years before for lack of character.
Gbaboyor has resorted to character assassination and misinformation after failing to impress the PAP leadership and get reemployment.
‘’ It’s disturbing that Gbaboyor asked the US president to intervene in a personal dispute within local authority. This violates Nigeria’s sovereignty and attempts to globalize personal grievances.
‘’ The Presidential Amnesty Programme invites the people to ignore these irresponsible conduct and spurious accusations. Gbaboyor should return to Nigeria to prove his accusations to the government and courts if he believes them.
‘’ His departure from a valid police invitation and subsequent attacks from abroad indicate his true campaign: a premeditated attempt to smear a public worker from outside, beyond Nigerian law enforcement’s reach.
