PDP to APC: Review oppressive policies and stop driving Nigerians to the edge.
By: OVL N e w s 6th September 2025
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been encouraged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to examine the policies that are harming Nigerians.
According to PDP spokesperson Debo Ologunagba, millions of Nigerians are unable to celebrate Eid-el Maulud in 2025 because of “excruciating hardship occasioned by APC policies.”
Ologunagba claimed that APC officials are ignoring the welfare of the populace in favor of “arrogantly luxuriating and displaying their extravagant lifestyle.”
The statement reads, “The PDP calls on the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Government to use the occasion to reflect and end its affliction on the people by reviewing all its oppressive policies that continue to wreck hardship, promote insecurity, and experience life-discounting,”
“The All Progressives Congress is called upon by the PDP.” The APC should also respect Nigerians’ sovereign will, listen to different viewpoints, which is a sign of democracy, and give up its goal of imposing tyranny in our nation.
“The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has remained insensitive and continues to condone corruption and mindless plundering of our national resources by APC members and its apologists. It is truly regrettable that,” the statement reads. “The APC-led government should use this opportunity to reflect and put an end to its affliction on the people by reviewing all of its oppressive policies that continue to wreck hardship, promote insecurity, and cause life-discounting experiences throughout the country.”
“As its actions amount to pushing a people to the wall and daring them to do their best, the PDP cautions the APC to stop taking Nigerians for granted.”
In order to “salvage the nation,” Ologunagba asked Nigerians to be steadfast in their support of the PDP and to keep loving one another.
The PDP urged Nigerians to “reinforce their resolve against totalitarianism in our country and foster the much-needed national rebirth” by taking advantage of the Eid-el Maulud holiday.
