PAP: Don’t propagate lies on Otuaro and Tompolo -Group criticizes misguided Jude Gbaboyor

The Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative (IPDI) has strongly denounced the recent video uploaded by Jude Gbaboyor, who is believed to have advocated for the former agitator Ben Ebikabowei, also known as Boyloaf. In the video, Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro PhD is accused of disclosing a confidential document that is said to have saved former President Goodluck Jonathan. A highly regarded supporter of the Niger Delta region’s independence, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known by his moniker Tompolo, was also targeted for discredit in the video
This was said in a statement signed on Wednesday and delivered to news reporters by the group’s national secretary, Comrade Peter Luke, and chairman of the BoT, Cletus Itari.
Gbaboyor’s acts, according to the IPDI, were a desperate attempt to gain quick notoriety by defaming respectable people. They emphasized that these charges are only part of a smear effort and that Dr. Otuaro is unrelated to the alleged paper.
“The reputation of Gbaboyor’s boss Boyloaf will only be damaged by his vicious campaign. His polarizing messaging will eventually backfire. It is incorrect to claim that Dr. Otuaro was involved in a document that he was unaware of. Rather, Gbaboyor needs to address his concerns to the DSS or former managers of the amnesty program, as they may possess insightful knowledge.
“It is disheartening that although some rejoice at Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro’s selection to oversee the presidential amnesty program, Gbaboyor and his boss persist in their self-serving schemes against their sibling. In addition to being disgusting, this damaging action reveals Gbaboyor and his boss’s terrible intentions for Dr. Otuaro.
“Dr. Otuaro is a distinguished leader in the Niger Delta struggle, and it’s shameful for Gbaboyor to suggest otherwise,” said the IPDI. The group restated, “His actions expose a secret agenda to tarnish the reputation of Dr. Otuaro and Tompolo.”
The IPDI declared, “We will not tolerate careless misinformation and character assassination.” “We stand solidly behind Dr. Otuaro and Tompolo, who have tirelessly worked for the betterment of our people.”
“The charge is irrational and unfounded; you don’t accuse someone of something they don’t know just because you happened to glance at Otuaro’s pictures in the direct message of the one who shared the purported paper.
“We want to make it clear to the lunatic Gbaboyor that Otuaro played a significant role in the Niger Delta conflict, and that anyone who claims otherwise is merely a weak history student and thinks Otuaro is benefiting from Boyloaf’s efforts. This is ridiculous and naive.
The cunning Gbaboyor was admonished by the IPDI to stop disseminating lies and to concentrate on making positive contributions that will bring Ijaw leaders together rather than using deceptive tactics. They made it very clear that Dr. Otuaro and Tompolo are unmoved by these unfounded charges.
The IPDI’s statement functioned as a rallying cry for leaders in the Niger Delta region to be respected and to engage in fact-based dialogue.
