Nigerians will praise Tinubu after first tenure — Wike.

By the end of President Tinubu’s first term, Nigerians will be forced to praise him, according to Barrister Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This was revealed by Wike at the flag-off ceremony for the construction of the N5 arterial road in Abuja, which will connect Life Camp Junction to Ring Road 3. This is the fifth route that has been marked off for construction this week.
In terms of infrastructure and the economy, Wike clarified, President Bola Tinubu is doing everything in his power to tackle the nation’s numerous problems. “I am confident that these strategic measures will soon produce the desired results, including reducing hunger,” he said.
The FCT Minister assured Nigerians that steps have been taken to guarantee that all citizens benefit from the different Renewed Hope Initiatives and asked them to keep praying for the nation and its leaders.
Wike claims that hundreds of people in the FCT now have direct and indirect jobs thanks to the multiplier impact of the recent road projects that were flagged off within the last week.
In addition, Wike urged the project’s managing company, Julius Berger, to aim for a completion date of 14 months rather than the original 18-month contract term. If they could reach the 14-month deadline, he made a tempting offer of more contracts.
Wike declared that the FCTA had paid Julius Berger 70% up front for the projects that were granted, even though the project’s contract amount was not revealed.
He expressed optimism, saying, “I can tell you, before the end of this administration of President Tinubu, Nigerians will smile. These problems — hunger, and suffering — have been around for decades, whether under PDP, APC, or military rule. But with his commitment, he’s implementing temporary but challenging measures that will ultimately bring relief. Keep praying for Mr. President.”
“I thank Mr. President for providing us the flexibility to raise our development threshold and for guaranteeing that work continues in the FCT,” he stated. Additionally, school upgrades are in progress. Residents probably didn’t think this road would be finished, but Mr. President insisted. We are here to give them hope again.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, speaking through the Senate Committee on FCT Chairman Ibrahim Bomai, commended the FCTA’s road construction efforts during the flag-off event and emphasized the value of strong road networks in fostering socioeconomic activity.
In addition to praising Wike’s vision of expanding the Federal Capital Territory’s revenue base, Senator Akpabio promised the 10th Assembly’s backing for the swift adoption of legislation intended to enhance infrastructure development.
The 4.4-kilometer, six-lane road would provide easy access to important locations like Kado Fish Market, Life Camp, and Karimu, according to Executive Secretary Shehu Hadi Ahmad of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), who gave an outline of the project.
The International Conference Centre is connected to Julius Berger Herbert Macaulay by the N5, also known as Obafemi Awolowo Road, which runs from Life Camp Junction in Gwarinpa1 District to Ring Road 3 in Iddo Gwari District, Ahmad continued. Residents in Kado, Karimu, Gwarinpa, Dape, Iddo-Gwari, Saburi, and Dei-Dei will receive much-needed relief thanks to this 4.4 km, six-lane dual road.
