Ex-president Jonathan receives ‘Symbol of Peace’ award amongst 100 in Africa

“Goodluck Jonathan is a symbol of peace, a symbol of sacrifice for fatherland and an example of true leadership who is a role model to young people, not just in Nigeria, but across Africa.
By agreeing to accept the results of the 2015 presidential election, he made an unparalleled sacrifice while staying loyal to his claim that his political ambitions were not worth the blood of any Nigerian.

Jonathan commended the organizers for the honor and reaffirmed his dedication to Nigeria’s peace, unity, and progress in his acceptance speech. Therefore, he urged African leaders at all levels to adopt democratic principles in order to create a better continent for everyone.
According to OVL News, Jonathan made history, when he quickly called Muhammadu Buhari to congratulate him after conceding defeat in the March 29, 2015 presidential election.
