According to President Bola Tinubu, the ambitious economic reforms implemented by his administration are stabilizing the economy, improving Nigeria’s standing internationally, and reviving investor confidence.

The Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Olaoye (Orumogege III), and other royal fathers were meeting him as he made the statements on Tuesday at State House in Abuja.

Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesperson, made this announcement in a statement on Wednesday.

“Nigeria was deprived of the funds required for development due to years of self-deception, neglect, and fraudulent records, as well as smuggling and other detrimental activities.

“We also faced extensive corruption, currency arbitrage, and fraudulent trading. There were serious threats to the integrity of our nation and economy,” Mr. Tinubu stated.

He thanked Nigerians for their support and patience and stated that difficult choices had to be taken.

“I am able to declare today that the economy is stabilized thanks to your prayers, tenacity, and comprehension.

“The bleeding has ceased. The bleeding has stopped. He declared, “The patient is alive.”

President Tinubu reiterated his dedication to universal access to education, emphasizing the establishment of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which made sure that no student left school because of financial hardship.

“The best tool you can use to combat poverty is education.

That is our course of action.

In just two years, he added, “We’ve also remained aggressive on infrastructure.”

For recognizing the government’s reforms and strong leadership from the beginning of the administration, the President commended the Soun of Ogbomoso.

He acknowledged the continuous changes occurring throughout Ogbomosol and under the monarch’s direction, and he praised Oba Olaoye’s developmental vision.

In order to expedite regional development, Mr. Tinubu pledged to assign the Ministers of Works, Agriculture, Water Resources, and Power to evaluate the monarch’s proposals.

According to him, improving infrastructure and agriculture can boost rural economies and contribute to food security.

“What we did could only have been accomplished by a fearless leader. We are now witnessing the repercussions of the wise decision to remove the fuel subsidy,” Mr. Tinubu continued.

Oba Olaoye praised the administration’s reforms in his remarks, pointing out that the NELFUND and foreign currency policy were particularly beneficial in keeping kids in school.

He acknowledged that the dualization of the Oyo–Ogbomoso Road is essential to national trade and thanked the President for authorizing the long-awaited contract.

The monarch demanded that the government transform Ogbomoso General Hospital to a Federal Medical Center and intervene in the improvement of the water and electrical supplies.

In order to promote agro-industrial development and boost the region’s cashew and mango value chain, he also asked for the creation of a research institute.

Oba Olaoye also conveyed gratitude for the appointment of Ogbomoso natives to important federal roles, such as BPP DG Debo Adedokun and FIRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji.

Five traditional leaders who stood in for important Ogbomosoland councils, signifying harmony and cultural cooperation, accompanied him.

Chief Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication and the traditional Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland, was also in attendance.
