All of the winners of Saturday’s by-elections in 16 constituencies across 12 states have received congratulations from President Bola Tinubu. 

Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesperson, made this announcement in Abuja on Sunday. 

‎The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was also praised by the president for the largely peaceful and trouble-free elections. 

Additionally, the President praised the Independent Natio According to INEC’s findings, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) won one seat, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won one, the All Progressives Congress (APC) got twelve, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) won two. nal Electoral commission (INEC) praised the largely peaceful and trouble-free elections. 

‎‎Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the newly appointed APC national chairman, received congratulations from Tinubu for the decisive first victory under his direction.

He also praised other leaders, including the APC governors, for the by-elections’ victory. 

‎‎”Chairman Yilwatda has shown leadership capacity and demonstrated what is achievable when popular candidates are fielded and with unity of purpose among party leaders,” the President remarks.

‎‎”To all APC faithful and the electorate, thank you for the confidence reposed in our party. Be assured that our Renewed Hope slogan is not a mere slogan. Our destination is a better, more secure and prosperous Nigeria. We shall take you there, by the Grace of God,” he said.

‎All of the political parties and candidates who ran for office were applauded by Tinubu, who also urged them to keep up their adherence to the values of fairness and sportsmanship, which are essential to robust democracy. (Nan) (
