Nigeria’s First Bank announces a name change.
First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) Holdings Plc has obtained approval to rename the company to First Holdco Plc.
During the 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM), conducted virtually on Thursday, November 14, 2024, the shareholders of the company reached a consensus to approve the name change.
The company’s secretary, Adewale Arogundade, affirmed in a statement issued over the weekend that the resolution applies to everyone by naming the subsidiaries of FBN Holdings.
The corporation claims that all of its subsidiaries will be affected by the move.
The company’s brand name will now be FirstHoldco, and its legal name will be changed from FBN Holdings Plc to First Holdco Plc.
“The legal and brand names of the company should be changed from FBN Holdings Plc and FBN Holdings to First Holdco Plc and FirstHoldco, respectively,” according to the First Bank statement.
