“Advancing the Quest for Economic/Political Freedom in a Siege Nation,” the program’s theme, sought to unite leaders and stakeholders to investigate creative ideas for the economic development of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta. The occasion aimed to empower local media professionals and promote economic dialogue.
The goals of the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum were welcomed by the youth commissioner, Kemepado, who stated that Ijaws are better at telling their own stories than anyone else.
Critical stakeholders and state officials would support any project that aims to advance Ijaw nation, he added.
Comrade Ozobo Austin, chairman of the IPF’s Central Working Committee (CWC), led the delegation, which was made up of committee members MMD Tamsokunbiri, CEO of Kpakam TV. committee member, Amb. Daniel Sunday CEO of Ogulagha Vanguards Ltd./Committee Secretary and Mr. Benjamin Tamaradoubra, CEO of Ijaw Heritage TV, committee member.
While the youth commissioner pledged strong cooperative efforts to support Ijaw development and empower Ijaw Indigenous Media, the delegation also congratulated the commissioner on his well-earned appointment.
