The Delta State Council Of Traditional Rulers Has Decided To Intervene In The Dispute Between Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, The State’s Most Recent Governor, And Elder Statesman Chief Edwin Clark.

Over Allegations Of Mishandling Of 13% Derivation Funds Made Against The Former Governor By The Elder Statesman, Clark, And Okowa Have Been At Odds.

The Monarchs Mentioned In A Three-Point Communique That Was Published After A Meeting Of Council Members In Asaba That The Leadership Of The Delta State Ethnic Nationalities Youth Council Had Called For Them To Intervene In The Circumstance.

The Youth Leaders Were Lauded By The Traditional Leaders For Their Concern Over The Matter, Especially For Following The Road Of Peace, And They Were Told That The Council Members Were Proud Of Them.

The Elder Statesman’s Attacks On Okowa, According To Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, Coordinating Chairman Of The Youth Organization And President Of Itsekiri National Youth Council, Were Unnecessary.
